Creatine Kinase (CK)
Females, Non-Hispanic Asian
The median creatine kinase (CK) for Non-Hispanic Asian females aged 20 and older in the US is 86 U/L, with 90% of the population falling between 47.1 U/L and 212.5 U/L.

Data and Methodology
- Dataset
- NHANES 2017-March 2020 Pre-Pandemic ( NHANES 2017-2020 2020 , Survey-weighted percentiles from the full MEC sample)
- Survey years
- 2017-2020
- Sample size
- 512 participants
- Reference population
- US civilian non-institutionalized Non-Hispanic Asian females aged 20 and older from NHANES 2017-March 2020. Race and Hispanic origin is the NHANES RIDRETH3 recode of self-reported race and Hispanic origin. Includes the full population (not restricted to healthy individuals) to reflect the population distribution.
- Exclusion criteria
-
- Missing creatine kinase value (LBXSCK)
- Missing or zero combined pre-pandemic MEC sample weight (WTMECPRP)
- Age under 20
- Race/Hispanic origin other than Non-Hispanic Asian (RIDRETH3 = 6)
- Participants coded RIDRETH3 = 7 (Other Race, including multiracial) are not published as a race/ethnicity slice; they remain in the age slices
- Notes
- Percentiles computed using the combined pre-pandemic MEC weight (WTMECPRP). Creatine kinase measured as LBXSCK; the NHANES codebook labels the unit IU/L, which is the same unit as U/L. Pooled across all adults aged 20 and older and not age-standardized, so differences between race/ethnicity slices partly reflect differences in age composition.
