Data and Methodology
- Dataset
- NHANES 2017-March 2020 Pre-Pandemic ( NHANES 2017-2020 2020 , Survey-weighted percentiles from the full MEC sample)
- Survey years
- 2017-2020
- Sample size
- 775 participants
- Reference population
- US civilian non-institutionalized males aged 60-69 from NHANES 2017-March 2020. Includes the full population (not restricted to healthy individuals) to reflect the population distribution.
- Exclusion criteria
-
- Missing calculated serum osmolality value (LBXSOSSI)
- Missing or zero combined pre-pandemic MEC sample weight (WTMECPRP)
- Age outside 60-69 range
- Notes
- Percentiles computed using the combined pre-pandemic MEC weight (WTMECPRP). Calculated serum osmolality reported as LBXSOSSI in mmol/kg using the NHANES formula (1.86 x sodium) + (glucose / 18) + (BUN / 2.8) + 9; it was not measured with an osmometer.
